Hi all,
Some entries for you to review. As discussed previously, rank the stories you like in order of preference (selecting at least three) as there may be more than one round of voting (a story needs >50% of the vote in order to win). Send your votes to contest admin

Why Do People Think I'm So Lovely?

I often get told how nice I am. It's baffling. I hold grudges, I "kink shame" whenever discussing certain fetishes I don't approve of and I frequently lament about the behavior of other people from the macrophile community. Do people gloss over my imperfections because I give out lots of free art?
A little bit of introspection tells me I'm probably somewhat of a **** (guess the word). I am a cynical one, yes. Why do you think I'm lovely? I'd love to know.
No, really. This is not an exercise in ego stroke. I am really confused. Okay, but yes today was a terrible day for me and began to really question myself. Friendly advice also appreciated...

Whilst I was gone, the server I run - Macro Authors' Repository - held a so-called "friendly writing competition". The topic was not a genre per se but rather a phrase - which I really liked because it's more inclusive. A term like "Social Media" (the previous topic) means that a wider scope of authors can participate than say if the chosen theme for the competition was something like "gentle" or "butt" because a story about "Social Media" can include any number of different genres.
Given that it was popular with server members, I have been advised to announce another "friendly competition". Even if you're not a confident writer, I don't see the harm in joining; we're a friendly bunch and would be happy to help you improve (reading and writing are the best ways to improve writing). I do not wish to be in competition with any other similar competitions. There shall be no formal prizes, though I will probably be happy to render the giantess (or two) that is the main character of the winning story.

“Friendly Writing Competition” Guidelines/Rules
1. The suggested story length is fewer than 4,000 words. Anything above 5,000 words will be excluded from the competition. If the word limits are found to be too long they will be revised downwards for future competitions.
2. The closing date for entries shall be April 31st.
3. All entries should be submitted to Jessthemess. She will then redistribute them to the server on May 1st. Jessthemess can be tagged with the “Contest Admin” role. Her Deviantart page:
4. Please do not use existing characters in your story (i.e. characters you created in the past) as they could be used to identify which author wrote the story.
5. No fanfiction please.
Voting:
1. Once you have read all of the stories, you will make a numbered list. This list should contain three or more entries. It doesn’t need to list every entry but it must list at least three. Your vote choices will be submitted to Jess, who can check to see if anybody is voting for themselves.
2. Your most favourite story should be number one in the list. Your second favourite should be number two and so on.
3. All of the first items in people’s lists will be counted. If no entry gets more than 50% of votes in the first round of voting then people’s second choices will be taken into consideration (they will be added on to the totals from the first round of voting) and so on. This will continue until one story gets at least 50% of all votes.

I had a politician local to me win an election win their election with <25% of the vote. I can't allow something like that to happen in this competition. Winner takes all voting is BAD!

What Was Motivation For 'Watching' Me?

Hi,
No, really, I'm serious. Indulge my curiosity. Illuminate me. You maybe must consider me interesting, even if I don't consider myself so?
As of the time I type this Journal entry, I watch exactly thirty people* since I am really picky about who I Watch. I see some people will Watch just about anyone and I just couldn't handle sifting through hundreds of pieces of art to get to the ones I'll really enjoy personally. If you could add people to your 'friends list' without being listed as a 'Watcher' I'd likely watch even fewer people - then again their friends so I kind of have to Watch them. My Favourites list is rather barren too, and not because I don't view much content - I view lots of content - I am just really picky.

You can ignore this if you like; it's just something silly. I got tagged in this by TheNostory so I suppose I have to do it. Sidney is the main character in the story Jewels of the Sky (currently only on Giantess World but I plan to post it to Deviantart).
1. Sidney is a human hailing from the planet Mars. He has a white skin complexion and has short black hair in a mop.
2. He loves playing violent video games.
3. He's a flying ace in the navy.
4. He of is above average height for a human. On Mars there is less gravity than on the Earth, hence he grows taller than the humans of the Earth.
5. He is very serious and often gives thought to the moral implications of his actions.
6. Sidney can speak the languages English and Chinese (Mandarin not Cantonese), because China got to Mars first (the way things are going it looks most likely). Forget writing Chinese though.
7. He habours a particular hatred of pirates, well space pirates anyway.
8. Sidney is not based on anyone in-particular.
